86,400 seconds

I think this is one of those songs that puts you in the right mood. You know, the song that makes you stop and think. Have a listen.

It’s a sweet and has a cheery mood to it. I love listening to it because it puts me in the mood I want to be in. Cheerful and living every second of life. It makes me happy and reminds me of who I am, the people I love and the things I ought to be doing to them to show that they matter to me..about showing that I love them and doing things for those few individuals that make a difference to show that I care. Whether its buying them wade or sending them cheery good night messages wishing them dreams about kittens that smell of sunlight or laughing with them about an advertisement on tv or visiting them in the hospital before they die of cancer. It’s not much, but it is something.  It talks about reminding yourself who’s important and taking a few minutes out of your life to show that you care and appreciate their existence in yours.  It talks about how time is precious and what you would do if you ceased to exist right in this moment. What things you wished you always did, people you wished you made happy, people who you should have made an impact upon but didn’t because you were pre-occupied with something less important. It talks about how the clock is ticking. And how good things come to an end far too quickly without you appreciating it.

We get caught up in stuff like power and money and sex and wine that we forget what’s worth and what isn’t.  We don’t say things or do things to the souls that matter to us before it’s too late. How many regrets do you have? How many gestures of kindness did you miss or avoid?

It talks about how we fall down, and can’t get up. How that fall sometimes makes us hide behind walls that make us forget who we are.  And then goes on to tell how it’s not too late and that we only have a few chances at life to appreciate the little things that mean so much to us before time expires.

“If you're plane fell out of the skies,
Who would you call with your last goodbyes,
Should be so careful who we let fall out of our lives,
So when we long for absolution,
There'll be no one on the line

Look at the little time we’re given to stay here. It’s your choice whether to use it or lose it before it runs out or risk regretting it after its gone. What is life without the souls that connect us to our core? These souls who mean so much to you, need to know that.
