My kitten is driving me up the wall. It refuses to differentiate the inside of the house with the outside of the house. Hence she tends to leave very irresponsible presents on each and every carpet she finds. Her being crippled and all I do not like to dip her in her in a bucket of water as with the usual cases of kitten potty training we do. What usually happens is if and when one of our newly arrived does it inside the house we say its NO NO by dipping it in a bucket of water so that it knows that what it did would get THAT as a result. But in Poopsy's case I think she might be a bit confused. she roams outside all day and comes in to do her potty business inside the house. Poor Aunt has a tough time forgiving her. Same with Mickey, our cross breed. she too gets into the utmost mischief by annoying everyone involved.
At the end of the day we realize that even though the animals we take care of are naughty little trouble makers we still love them enough to feed them, run outside to check on them at the slightest hint of trouble from another prowling cat and let them sleep next to us at night beacuse we do love and care for them the way we do to our own kind. its like someone once said, "Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains asleep."
